Will the mediator act as our attorney?

The mediator cannot represent you as an attorney. However, (s)he can draft the Agreement when you have reached resolution. The mediator can also give you step by step instructions for filing your own divorce, or taking other steps to formalize your Agreement. Each party is encouraged to consult with an attorney at any time in the process
